2019 - 2021 Officer Nominations


Nominate Our Next Vice President or Treasurer!

All members are encouraged to participate in the nomination process for a new Vice President and Treasurer for the two-year term of October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2021. This is your opportunity to nominate an outstanding candidate—even yourself—to lead the mission of our chapter: to advance the role and recognition of women through professional development, networking, scholarships, outreach, and philanthropy.

We are seeking nominations for:

Vice President (Term: October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2021)
·        Oversees all chapter programs and events, to include identifying committee leads and monitoring all aspects of the planning and execution of the program or event.
·        Oversees updates to the chapter bylaws.
·        Manages access to the chapter’s storage facility and its contents.
·        Ensures meetings and chapter business are conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order.
·        Fulfills the duties of President when necessary.
·        Performs duties as delegated by the President.
·        Performs other duties as assigned per the chapter bylaws and operations manual.

Treasurer (Term: October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2021)
·        Oversee and manage all aspects of the chapter’s annual budget, including developing annual budget projections; managing all income and expenses, including billing, invoicing, and payments; and reporting.
·        Maintain all chapter financial records and procedures, including preparing reports and assisting with independent reviews of the chapter’s financial records.
·        Transmit all financial records and reports to WID National as requested.
·        Prepare and present monthly financial reports to the chapter President and Executive Board members.
·        Collect and disburse funds for chapter programs and events.
·        Integrate committee and program/event budgets into overall annual budget.
·        Performs duties as delegated by the President.
·        Performs other duties as assigned per the chapter bylaws and operations manual.

The nomination period closes on August 31, 2019. All nominees must be current chapter members. Members may self-nominate. Members who wish to nominate someone should discuss the potential nomination with the candidate before making the nomination. If elected, candidates are expected to participate in all chapter meetings, programs, and events. Please ensure nominees understand the financial and time commitments before nominating them.

Voting will occur September 1–30, 2019 (tentative). Newly elected officers will be announced on October 1, 2019 and will shadow the outgoing officers throughout the month of October. The officer installation ceremony will occur at the annual chapter meeting in October 2019.
